Education Seminar on Taxes in the Sultanate of Oman

As part of the Tax Authority’s ongoing efforts to spread awareness regarding tax culture, The Tax Authority organized a seminar titled "Taxes in the Sultanate of Oman" targeting students of the College of Science and Design.

Seminar provided a detailed explanation of the various types of taxes implemented in the Sultanate of Oman, such as Income tax, VAT, and Excise tax. It also explained the practical calculations of taxes for each type, and discussed the process of filing tax returns. The seminar concluded with a Q&A session where students' raised queries regarding tax registration and ways of communication with the Tax Authority.

Tax Authority aims through this seminar to build a generation that is aware of the importance of tax compliance and its crucial role in supporting the national economy. Tax revenues form the backbone of the economy by funding development projects, infrastructure, and improving public services. Thus, increasing tax awareness contributes to sustainable economic growth.
