The Tax Authority Boosts Tax Culture Initiative with Intensive Awareness Programs

As part of continuous efforts to enhance tax awareness and disseminate a tax culture among community members, the third phase of the "Tax Culture Initiative" has continued its activities in the Governorates of Al Batinah North and Al Batinah South. This initiative which is implemented in cooperation with various governmental and private entities, aims to simplify tax concepts and encourage voluntary compliance with tax regulations and laws. Through its diverse activities, the initiative seeks to build a strong and sustainable national economy based on increased tax awareness and active community participation.

The activities of the initiative for the last week included a great presence of Tax Authority specialists in several major commercial centers, in addition to organizing a series of specialized educational workshops in leading educational and community institutions. In Al Batinah North Governorate, several awareness outlets were launched in strategic locations to make the information and services reachable to the public, specifically at Nesto Hypermarket in Saham and City Centre in Sohar. The Tax Authority's team provides comprehensive tax services, introduces key available electronic services to simplify procedures for the public, and offers detailed guidance on various tax aspects to shoppers. The Tax Authority's team is also eager to simplify the information and provide immediate answers to all inquiries to ensure that tax obligations and rights are clear enough to all taxpayers.

Along with the field visits, there are some educational workshops presented at Sohar University and Saham Vocational College, aimed to introduce affiliates and the local community to the practical aspects of tax systems and procedures. Also, an awareness workshop was held at the Omani Women's Association in Sohar, focusing on the pivotal role of women in enhancing tax culture within the family and society.

Furthermore, there were other team from the Tax Authority is available in Al Batinah South Governorate in several commercial shops such as Lulu Hypermarket, Grand Center in Barka, and the Golden Dragon Markets. Specialists at these locations provide necessary support to citizens and residents, assisting them in obtaining accurate and simplified information on tax matters, in addition to answering all related inquiries.
