Tax Authority Organizes a Workshop to Enhance Compliance for Audit and Accounting Firms

 
As part of efforts to raise tax awareness and strengthen partnerships with other sectors, Tax Authority organized an awareness workshop titled “Our Partners in Tax Compliance” targeting representatives of audit and accounting firms. The workshop witnessed the participation of more than 140 representatives from audit and accounting firms, reflecting their keen interest in enhancing their understanding of tax procedures.

The workshop comes as a strategic step aimed at strengthening firms’ awareness of their professional and legal obligations, emphasizing the importance of preparing financial statements in accordance with approved standards, and clarifying the mechanisms for submitting tax returns in compliance with applicable laws. It also sought to enhance cooperation and direct communication between Tax Authority and audit firms.

The workshop included a presentation on the legal and regulatory framework governing the auditing and accounting profession, an explanation of firms’ responsibilities in auditing accounts, and clarification of the requirements for preparing tax returns correctly. Particular focus was placed on identifying common errors in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, while highlighting ways to avoid them through practical and simplified examples.
