The Sultanate of Oman and Republic of India Boost Economic Cooperation by Signing Double Taxation Avoidance Protocol

In a move aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India, the amending Protocol of the Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income was signed this morning between the governments of the two countries. 
The protocol was signed in the presence of H.E. Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority, and H.E.  Amit Narang, Indian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, at the headquarters of the Tax Authority.
In a statement on this occasion, His Excellency the Chairman of the Tax Authority stressed the importance of signing this protocol to strengthen economic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and India, and as a result of the efforts of the two countries in fostering bilateral cooperation in the tax field.
