The Tax Authority Announces the Postponement of "Digital Tax Stamp" on Soft Drinks

The Tax Authority issued an official statement notifying producers and importers of soft drinks about the suspension of Customs obligation of the Digital Tax Stamp system exclusively for soft drinks, and postponement the local obligation, which was scheduled to commence as of 1st January, 2026, until further notice.

These decisions come within the framework of the Tax Authority’s commitment to support procedural smoothness and to ensure the technical and operational readiness of companies, importers, and traders for the optimal implementation of the system. The Tax Authority also confirmed at the end of the statement that this delay will not affect the scheduled timeline or the implementation process for other excise goods.
