The Tax Authority Launches the Visual Identity of "Fawtara" Project and Shows its Digital Services at "COMEX2025

As part of the Tax Authority's constant efforts to achieve an integrated digital future, it is actively participating in the "COMEX 2025" exhibition to unveil its latest steps in the digital transformation journey. A key highlight of this participation is showing the modern visual identity of "Fawtara" project and the digital services on its innovative portal.

The exhibition witnessed the launch of the visual identity for the electronic invoicing project, named "Fawtara." The name reflects the project's core essence of transitioning towards issuing digital invoices in order to fulfill the efficiency and transparency. The visual identity was designed with a modern vision that embodies innovation and clarity, aiming to establish the principles of reliability and fairness, and to facilitate the business environment in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Tax Authority also revealed the new features of its e-portal, which has been designed to fully meet user's needs. The new portal is distinguished by its easy and seamless interface that focuses on simplifying procedures and reducing the steps required to complete transactions. It includes interactive and personalized services to provide a better and more efficient service for the users. It has also been implemented with the highest standards of digital accessibility (AAA) to ensure its availability to everyone, including people with disabilities. Additionally, there are multiple languages that user can choose while browsing the portal.


 

The Tax Authority announced the digital service -Tax Refund for Diplomatic Missions- that is available on the portal. This service enables diplomatic missions to submit their Value Added Tax and Excise Tax refund requests electronically, which considered a significant shift from traditional paper-based transactions to a fast and easy digital environment.

Yousef Al-Sarmi, Director of Tax Awareness and Support Department, affirmed that the Tax Authority's digital journey is ongoing, and stated that the next phase will focus on completing the digitization of all services, developing current systems, and achieving comprehensive electronic integration.

Al-Sarmi called on all taxpayers to benefit from these digital developments by registering on the e-portal, submitting their returns, and paying their dues electronically to ensure tax compliance and complete their transactions easily.
