IMF Delegation Visits Tax Authority as Part of Article IV Consultations

His Excellency Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority, received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as part of the Fund’s preparation mission conducted under Article IV of the IMF Articles of Agreement.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the latest economic, and tax developments in the Sultanate of Oman, and discussed a number of indicators related to tax performance and ongoing developments within the tax system.

The IMF delegation was also briefed on key initiatives and development programs being implemented by the Tax Authority to enhance tax administration efficiency and improve services provided to taxpayers.

The visit forms part of the IMF’s regular mission to assess economic and financial developments in member countries and exchange views on relevant economic and financial policies
