Sultanate of Oman Participates in the 15th Meeting of the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Administrations in GCC Countries

The Sultanate of Oman participated in the 15th meeting of the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Administrations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which was held in Kuwait. The Omani delegation was headed by H.H. Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority.

This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between Tax Authorities and administrations, as well as improving the efficiency of tax systems in the GCC. It also aims to unify tax policies and procedures in line with global economic developments and to support the path of Gulf economic integration.

The heads and directors also discussed mechanisms for exchanging information and expertise to combat tax evasion and avoid double taxation among the member states, which helps them build a Gulf tax system characterized by fairness and transparency.

H.E. Nasser Al Jashmi emphasized the importance of this meeting in strengthening joint Gulf cooperation and coordinating positions to address global tax challenges. He noted the Sultanate of Oman's keenness to support all efforts aimed at achieving the shared economic goals of the (GCC) countries.
