The Tax Authority Enhances Tax Awareness and Encourages Investment

As part of the Tax Authority's ongoing efforts to share the tax culture and build a community aware of the importance of tax compliance, it organized educational workshops at Majan University College and Dhofar University under the title "Taxes in the Sultanate of Oman".  

The workshops targeted students and academics with the aim of raising their awareness of the importance of taxes and their role in sustainable development. The workshops covered various aspects of the tax system, including a detailed explanation of the types of taxes, how to calculate and pay them, and highlighted the pivotal role of taxes in financing service and developmental projects.

In the scope of institutional cooperation to achieve the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, the Tax Authority participated in the "Government Integration to Enhance Investment Awareness" seminar organized by Madayn Industrial City. The seminar aimed to clarify the legislative and investment framework in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as introduce the tax incentives and advantages offered to investors. Besides, it emphasized the importance of tax incentives in attracting foreign direct investment.
