The Tax Department in Dhofar Governorate Organizes a serious of workshops within "Athar" Campaign

As part of the "Athar" campaign launched by the Tax Authority to enhance awareness and foster a tax culture within educational institutions, the Tax Department in Dhofar Governorate organized a series of awareness workshops titled "Taxation in the Sultanate of Oman."
The workshops held at several academic institutions, including Dhofar University, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Salalah, and the Vocational College in Salalah. They focused on introducing the types of taxes currently implemented in the Sultanate of Oman, the calculation mechanisms for each tax, and the vital role of tax revenues in supporting the development of public services and national infrastructure.
The workshops witnessed significant engagement from both students and academics. Discussions emphasized the importance of tax compliance in fostering a sustainable economy, in addition to introducing the electronic facilities and services provided by the Tax Authority to taxpayers. These efforts aim to cultivate a generation that is well-versed in the financial and economic systems of the Sultanate of Oman.
This initiative underscores the pivotal role the Tax Authority plays in building bridges of knowledge with educational institutions. It further aims to enhance the younger generation's awareness of financial sustainability principles, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
