Workshop on Taxes and Incentives in Sohar Free Zone

In order to enhance tax transparency and fairness, the Department of Tax in Al Batinah North Governorate organized a workshop on taxes and investment incentives in Sohar Free Zone. The workshop was held at the port administration building and it targeted investors and companies operating in the zone.

The workshop included several vital topics that are important to the investors, such as: the applicable tax laws in the zone, and the detailed procedures related to calculating and paying taxes. Also, the terms and conditions of the tax incentives and privileges provided by the Tax Authority were presented to encourage investment in the free zone.

Mr. Ahmed bin Musabh Al Badi, Director of Department of Tax in Al Batinah North Governorate, stated: "The workshop aims to empower investors to understand their tax rights and obligations, which will contribute in building a strong partnership between the private sector and the Tax Authority. In the Tax Authority, we are committed to providing adequate support to investors and are constantly working to develop our services to meet their needs."
