A Tax Seminar held in Al Batinah South

The Tax Department in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority in Al Batinah South Governorate, organized an awareness seminar entitled "Taxes in the Sultanate of Oman". The seminar targeted entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises in order to introduce them with the laws and legislation regulating the tax work in the Sultanate of Oman, ensure proper compliance, and enhance effective communication with the business community.                                                                                                                     

    The seminar began with a review of the new organizational structure of the Tax Authority, followed by a detailed explanation for the types of taxes and the methodologies for their application and calculation, in addition to introducing the digital facilities and services available through the Tax Authority's electronic portal. The seminar also focused on the consequences of tax evasion, stressing that voluntary compliance protects entrepreneurs from any legal penalties.                         

    This seminar comes as an affirmation of the role of the effective partnership between the Tax Authority and SMEs Development Authority, and their continuous endeavor to help entrepreneurs manage their projects in a legal way that ensuring their growth and sustainability.
