Tax Awareness Workshops for University Students within "Athar" Campaign

As part of the 'Athar' campaign launched by the Tax Authority to spread tax culture within educational institutions - in alignment with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 to achieve financial sustainability - the Tax Authority, represented by the Tax Awareness and Support Department, organized workshops on 'Taxes in the Sultanate of Oman.' Some workshops were held at academic institutions, while others took place at the Tax Authority's headquarters in Muscat.

The workshops were held at Muscat University, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Muscat. These workshops aim to introduce the types of taxes implemented in the Sultanate of Oman, review the calculation mechanisms for each type, as well as highlight the positive impact of tax revenues on developing public services and infrastructure.

Moreover, the Tax Authority hosted a delegation from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Ibra at its headquarters. The hosting program included a theoretical component to introduce students to tax mechanisms from legislative and economic perspectives, and a practical component to show them how tax operations are managed in the field. This aimed to link their academic knowledge with practical reality and instill the concept of tax awareness as a national responsibility.
