The Tax Authority hosts the SQU's Students

In line with the Tax Authority's endeavor to enhance academic cooperation and link theoretical knowledge with practical application, it hosted students from the College of Law at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the legislative and procedural developments in the tax system of the Sultanate of Oman.

The program of the visit was full of comprehensive and valuable information, where the Tax Authority's specialists showed the upcoming strategic projects and their objectives in developing tax efficiency and improving services. The meeting also included detailed sessions on the most important aspects of the tax legislation applicable in the Sultanate of Oman.

On the practical side, a practical exercise on verifying the Digital Tax Stamp (DTS) using "Ta'akad" app was done, so the students learned how to use the technical tools provided by the Tax Authority to verify companies' tax compliance and protect consumers.

The program was concluded with a Tax Knowledge Competition, which stimulated the students' critical thinking and reinforced the information they gained during the workshop.
