The Tax Authority Sheds Light on Zero-Rated VAT Goods

The Tax Authority, in cooperation with the Consumer Protection Authority, has launched an awareness campaign by distributing a list of goods subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) at a zero percent (0%) rate. Consumers can check the list of these goods by scanning the QR code.

The campaign targeted approximately 900 commercial establishments in the Governorate of Muscat. It aims to empower consumers to understand their rights and ensure that VAT is applied in accordance with the approved laws and regulations.

The Tax Authority affirmed that this initiative is part of its ongoing awareness programs to promote market transparency and ensure accurate information reaches both consumers and business owners.
